Last Time On Another Feudal Fairy Tale
Despite his womanizing mystique, Miroku was able to find the wizard demon who had been making deals with people. Turns out he had been collecting energy from them, including Halo, for Naraku who promised him a stronger body in exchange. The wizard was not able to answer any questions about Naraku since he was unaware of where he was, so Miroku excersized him. However, before this, Miroku witnessed the wizard giving a Shykun shard to a demon named Loka, who he later learns from Sango that was the Queen Bee of the Bee Demons. Understanding her capabilities and motives, the group figured that this Queen may be able to be reasoned with and could possibly be convinced to betray Naraku so long as they had something to bribe her with; anything in the colour of honey. Soon after, The area was taken over by honey covered wires spread out like webs and Inuyasha and his friends began their hunt for Loka of the Demon Bees. Another Feudal Fairy Tale Chapter 9 Page 99 Sango Falls

“What the hell are you doing?” Inuyasha asked in a rough tone as he and the others watched Jane just barely falling off a tree branch, poking a bee hive with a stick. She stretched her body as far as she could without losing her balance in attempt to knock over the nest.

“Just a little more…” She said and the others glanced at her unconvinced.

“You’ll get stung, Jane. Come down.” Kagome said out of concern. Jane slipped and almost fell over but was lucky enough to catch her balance. She laughed it off.

“Loka wants something honey colored? Well what’s more honey colored than honey?” She said spitefully.

“She looks just as pathetic up there as she did down here.” Inuyasha said, trying to insult her.

“Then why are you looking up from the angle of my ass?” Jane reflected back without looking, and although it was to make fun of him, Inuyasha was at that angle by sheer coincidence. Frustrated by his luck, his face burned.

“Sit boy.” Kagome said without expression, sending him cold to the ground. Inuyasha grunted and lifted his dirty face from the soil.

“I was not looking!” He told Kagome who was ignoring him. Koga flinched in discomfort.

“Ouch.” Jane slapped her arm, killing off a bee that stung her.

“Why not transform?” Sango asked, thinking Jane’s power can help her get to the hive.

“Because,” Jane struggled, reaching for the hive once more, “then I’ll be stuck in that form for the next 6 hours at least and, urgh, I don’t know if any of my transformations will benefit me or weaken me with our next enemy. I transform in battle only.”

“But isn’t the point of transformation to make you stronger?” Sango asked, raising her voice due to the buzzing of the bees.

“Not necessarily.” Miroku explained. “Jane’s changes are just that; changes. Each come with advantages and disadvantages and none are really more powerful than the other. What determines their strength is weather she uses them properly and chooses the right change for the situation at hand. They could either make her or break her.”

“They’re useless.” Inuyasha commented. Jane ignored him and poked at the hive several more times until she managed to crack it slightly and at that moment, the entire ground began to shake, knocking Jane off the branch and sending her backwards into the bushes. Loud buzzing reverberations swarmed the area and the group struggled from standing straight with the quivering.

“What’s going on?” Sango tried to say over the noise as she planted her weapon in the ground to support herself. The buzzing slowed when a figure came into view from the sky as it flew down and landed in front of the hive that Jane had tempered with. It was the queen herself.

“Loka.” Miroku identified. The demon bees, about the size of an open hand, hovered around her like guards, ready to abolish anyone who attempted to cause harm to their queen. Inuyasha flipped his bangs away from his face as he growled in disappointment.

“Thanks to Jane, I doubt we will be able to convince Loka to betray Naraku now.” He said softly to Koga.

“We’ll just have to make her.” Koga replied, cracking his knuckles.

“How dare you.” Loka said with a strict tone. “You damaged one of my hives.”

Jane finally stood up from the bush she had fallen in and walked unsteadily next to Inuyasha as she rubbed off the dirt from her tail and bottom. She rubbed down the loose hairs from her head and straightened up before she turned to look at Loka. Koga face-palmed himself.

“Loka of the demon bees, we have come here looking for you to grant you an offer.” Jane started until she began speaking absolute nonsense. “Standing here I remember days – paper –pink –and…” Jane’s eyes began rolling backwards and she was losing her balance once again. Sango walked next to her and stopped her from falling as she reached into her arm to pull out an antidote.

“It’s just symptoms from the bee sting.” She told the others who were masked with confused expressions. Sango gently sat on the ground and as she took care of the woozy half demon while the others stood in front of them defensively, facing Loka.

“Loka, Naraku is using you.” Miroku told her. “He’ll end up disposing of you I’m certain. I know he has promised you jewel shards, but I promise that if we work together…”

“Hold on one second.” Loka interrupted. “I’m not doing this for the shards. That’s what he thinks.”

The group remained silent in complete misconception.

“Really? Then … why?” Kagome asked.

Loka laughed a short laugh. “Keeping Naraku on good terms with me just grantees he doesn’t annoy me. I also get away with more land. I’m the one who’s controlling that baboon’s ass.”

Everyone’s jaw dropped at this. They were absolutely shocked to hear that someone like Naraku was being played. Inuyasha put his tetseiga away in his sheath and looked at her with a serious face.

“Then can you tell us where he is? That can’t hurt can it?” He asked. Loka looked into Inuyasha’s eyes and then at her bees. In their shadows hid Naraku’s insects and even though they were invisible to Inuyasha and his friends, Loka knew that Naraku was listening. Naraku was fine with Loka’s true motives, as long as she killed Inuyasha. And how would he make her do this? One of his insects suddenly possessed one of Loka’s largest bee’s and it began to fly straight for Sango and Jane who were still glued to the ground. The bee buzzed loudly, dodged the others and stabbed his stinger deep into Sango’s neck like it had been in slow motion, injecting every last drop of venom there was. The stinger was the size of a human thumb and was left in her skin after the bee shriveled and passed on the ground next to them.

“SANGO!” Miroku yelled and ran over to her side. Jane’s symptoms began to vanish when Sango lost her strength and dropped Jane on the ground. Naraku’s insect that had possessed the bee had secretly crawled into Jane’s pouch and pulled out a shared of the Shykun Jewel and revealed it at Loka, taunting her to kill them so she could claim it.

“It won’t come out!” Miroku cried as he tried to remove the giant stinger from Sango’s neck.

“Go for it. You know you want it. Kill Inuyasha and it will certainly be yours.” Naraku’s voice echoed in Loka’s head. “Just do me the little favour of making him suffer. Make him suffer like no one has ever suffered before.”

Loka tried to refuse his order but it was not possible. Her bee demon instincts began to wash over her like all those before her and she now wanted nothing more than those lavish coloured jewel shards. Honey filled her pupils and she was ready to go for the attack. She grabbed her honey wires and pulled them from her fingers as they formed a stared shape with countless amounts of artilleries. Then, the ground beneath Jane became a black hole and she was gone.

“Jane?” Inuyasha worried. Then the same happened to Kagome.

“No! What’s going on?” Miroku said with great anger, more worried for Sango then anything. Loka quickly disappeared soon after and this fumigated Inuyasha.

“Meido Zangetsuha!” He called, sensing Loka’s energy and piercing through dimensions where she had taken the girls. “Miroku. Koga. You guys stay here and watch over Sango, I’ll handle this!”

“Wait, Inuyasha!” Miroku yelled after him but he was gone. Koga stomped his foot.

“Stupid mutt! How can he handle this on his own?”

Miroku held Sango closer to him and Koga noticed his deep expression of pain and worry. In pity of the monk, he looked around and thought of what to do.

“Look, monk. I think we can find a way to get them out of there. Loka said that Jane ruined one of her hives and this pissed her off, right? Well, how would she feel if we ruined the others?” Koga theorized. Miroku thought about that for a moment and shook his head.

“There could be a million hives for all you know.” He said hopelessly.

“Don’t underestimate me! I’m faster than any other demon ever lived! I’ll take down 100 hives for every breath you take. Watch me, human.” Koga was gone in a flash.

“Thank You…” Miroku whispered. He knew Koga’s determination to help however he was too down over Sango to smile.
